Quick answer
Install DMSS, then add your Dahua recorder by scanning the QR code or entering its serial number, and log in with the recorder’s username and password. The recorder must be connected to the internet with remote access enabled.
Screens and menu names can change with app and firmware updates, so your system may look slightly different.
What you need
- Your Dahua recorder connected to your modem with a network cable
- The recorder’s serial number or QR code, usually on its label
- The recorder’s username and password
Step by step
Install DMSS
Download DMSS from the App Store or Google Play.
Enable remote access on the recorder
In the recorder’s network settings, make sure remote or cloud access is enabled and showing as online.
Add the device
In DMSS, tap the plus button, choose to scan a QR code or enter the serial number, and select your recorder.
Enter the recorder’s username and password.
Test it
