What the $1,499.00 price includes
Our Hills Reliance XR alarm kit price is a fixed starting price for a standard home installation. If your home is different, we’ll tell you at the free site check and confirm any extra cost in writing before we start.
This price is based on
- Single-storey home with a pitched, tiled roof and safe roof-space access
- Brick veneer or weatherboard walls
- Up to 3 Optex motion detectors covering the main entry paths
- Detectors and keypad mounted at standard height, reachable from a standard ladder (about 3 metres)
- TouchNav keypad installed near your main entry door
- Alarm panel placed in a cupboard, garage or laundry, within about 1.5 metres of an existing power point
- Up to 3 detector cable runs of about 25 metres each
Not included
- Electrical work, such as new or relocated power points (done by a licensed electrician and quoted separately)
- Back-to-base monitoring, which is an ongoing monthly service quoted separately
- Smartphone app control or communicator modules, available as an add-on
- Extra detectors, door or window reed switches, panic buttons or smoke detectors
- Double-storey homes, metal (Colorbond) or flat roofs, and high or raked ceilings
- Drilling through double brick, concrete or rendered walls, or conduit work
- Removal or disposal of an old alarm system
- Phone line, NBN or internet services

Alarm terms
- Detectors are positioned to reduce false alarms from pets, but large or very active pets may still trigger them. We’ll advise on placement at the site check.
- The backup battery keeps the alarm running in a power cut and needs replacing every few years. Battery replacement is not covered by the warranty.
- External sirens are set to time out automatically, in line with Victorian noise rules.
- You are responsible for keeping your user codes private and changing them when staff, tenants or family members change.
- If you add monitoring, call-outs caused by false alarms may be charged by the monitoring provider.
- An alarm system deters and alerts. It cannot guarantee that a break-in, theft or damage will not happen.
- We test every detector, the keypad and sirens before handover, and show you how to arm, disarm and bypass zones.
