IP and PoE camera systems

Modern IP cameras run on a single Cat6 cable that carries both power and video (PoE). That means no power packs on your eaves, fewer failure points and sharper images.

Questions about ip and poe camera systems

What does PoE mean?

Power over Ethernet. The camera gets power and sends video through the same network cable, so no separate power supply is needed.

Is IP better than analogue?

For new systems, yes: higher resolution, smarter alerts and easier expansion. Analogue HD can still make sense when reusing existing cables.
