Access control questions
How much does access control cost?
It depends on the number of doors and gates, the lock hardware each door needs and how many users you manage. Your free site check gives you a fixed, itemised quote.
What happens if someone loses a fob?
You cancel it in the app or software straight away and issue a new one. No locksmith and no new keys for everyone.
What happens in a power failure?
Systems have battery backup. Each door is also set as fail-safe (unlocks without power, for exits) or fail-secure (stays locked) to suit fire safety and security.
Can it work with my cameras and alarm?
Yes. Door events can be saved with matching video, and the alarm can disarm automatically when an authorised person badges in.
Is it suitable for strata buildings?
Yes. Each resident gets their own fobs, the committee can see entry logs and schedules, and lost fobs are cancelled without rekeying.
Do I need an electrician as well?
The access control wiring is low voltage and installed by us. If a new 240V power point is needed for lock power supplies, we arrange a licensed electrician.
